Eric Clapton & Friends: A Tribute to Ginger Baker is slated for February 17, 2020 at the Apollo Hammersmith in London and will benefit a charity that provides assistance to people with disabilities that the late drummer's family is supportive of.

With a 2020 E Street Band reunion all but certain, Bruce Springsteen set aside his dabbling in country songs and got back in the Rock N' Roll saddle on Saturday night in Asbury Park. The occasion was a benefit concert for his son's alma mater, Boston College. Backed by Bobby Bandiera's band and E Street drummer Max Weinberg, The Boss delivered a 22 song set that included staples from his on catalog and a smattering of covers and capped off the 2 hour set with an acoustic version of Thunder Road.

The debacle the scuttled Woodstock 50th Anniversary concert turned into at least had one positive; John Fogerty has donated the advance he received from the backers of the concert to an organization providing housingf for homeless veterans.  The donation goes to Veterans Village, a Las Vegas outfit converting large scale containers into comfortable shelter for vets.  Fogerty, an Army veteran himself, has called Vegas a home away from home during his residency concert stints in Vegas.

A band we had great expectations for has confirmed a reunion tour. The Black Crowes will be performing Shake Your Money Maker in it's entirety during a 2020 summer tour. North American dates for the trek are about to get released.

The building the offices and studios of Capricorn occupied in Macon, Georgia  was at imminent risk of being torn down to make room for more townhouse apartments. A concerted effort by Mercer has not only prevented this landmark building from being demolished, it has given it a rebirth as a place music from the past and the future will be appreciated and celebrated.
