Peter Green Tribute concert features several guitar greats

It's unusual to commit to a live album's release before the concert actually takes place, but rehearsals for tonight's tribute to Peter Green have made Mick Fleetwood so confident that the performances will be worthy that he has announced a multi-format release of the concert for October. The lineup of musicians honoring the early Fleetwood Mac guitarist in the sold out concert at the London Palladium includes David Gilmour, Billy Gibbons, Pete Townshend, Kirk Hammett, Jonny Lang, John Mayall, Bill Wyman, Steven Tyler, Christine McVie and Mick himself.
The drummer calls Green his greatest mentor and added, "it gives me such joy to pay tribute to his incredible talent. I am honored to be sharing the stage with some of the many artists Peter has inspired over the years and who share my great respect for this remarkable musician."
The October 19, 2020 release will come out as 4LP-2DC and BLU-ray containing concert highlights and interview segments.

Neil Young mounting a 2020 Crazy Horse tour

Photo from Neil Young Archives by Darryl Hannah

Dates haven't been firmed-up, but Neil Young and Crazy Horse will do live dates on what Neil is dubbing a BARN tour - one that books into historic arenas instead of modern, colossal corporate ones. Young explains it as an artistic and financial decision based on the opinion that the newer venues have to be booked too far in advance, are 'largely soulless' and 'cost a fortune to play in'.

Older venues Young is considering include The Forum in LA, the Rochester, NY War Memorial, the Hartford and Providence Civic Centers and the Nashville Municipal Auditorium.
