Restrictions on live concerts brought tours to a screeching halt several weeks ago and there is no way of knowing how soon it will be possible to stage or attend future concerts and festivals. Thankfully, many artists have adapted by streaming weekly archived concerts or live sessions. There are also opportunities for music junkies to view and participate in other online presentations. One of the potentially most interesting ones will be hosted by Gibson Guitars and will feature the extraordinary producer/engineer Eddie Kramer. Kramer was at the controls for a lot of iconic albums, including releases from Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones, John Mellencamp, Led Zeppelin and many, many more.
The four part series premieres tonight with Kramer talking about his work with Jimi Hendrix. May 14th's episode focuses on Led Zeppelin sessions he did. The Woodstock soundtrack recordings are covered on May 21. His work with the Stones will be featured on May 28.
Enjoy them at Gibson's Facebook Live and YouTube Live pages starting at 5pm (Eastern).
