McCartney Finally Lands A Star

Anyone that grew up when the Beatles were securing their place in music history knows that just about every reference to the group members was in the order John, Paul, George & Ringo, so the idea that Paul McCartney, co-writer of the vast majority of Beatle originals and by far the most active of the four in the post band era, would be the last to get recognition by the Hollywood Walk Of Fame managers is surprising.  MCCA finally got his star unveiled near those of his three former band mates near the Capitol Records tower Thursday (2/9).  Joining McCartney for the event were Neil Young, Joe Walsh, Elvis Costello and Jeff Lynne.  In giving the official introduction to the latest Hollywood Walk inductee, Young said, 'As a musician, as a songwriter, Paul's craft and his art are truly at the top of his game, the way Charlie Chaplin was as an actor', and noted that, '...it's the soul that he puts into everything he does that makes me feel so good and so happy to be here.'
