Chris Cornell eulogized in private LA ceremony

Soundgarden's Matt Cameron and Kim Thayil, Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament, Audioslave band mate Tom Morello and actor Josh Brolin delivered eulogies to Chris Cornell during a private service Friday (5/26) in LA that opened with his song The Promise playing and included Chester Bennington of Linkin Park singing Hallelujah.  The ranks of those there to honor Cornell included James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Nirvana and Foo Fighters Dave Grohl, guitarists Jimmy Page, Joe Walsh, Dave Navarro, Nile Rodgers and Jerry Cantrell, and singers Billy Idol, Perry Ferrell, Gavin Rosdale and Courtney Love.  Actors Brad Pitt and Christian Bale also attended.  Most attended the internment of his ashes at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery as All Night Thing by Temple Of The Dogs played.
Cornell took his own life in a hotel room following Soundgarden's May 17 concert at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.
