Joni Mitchell has been frequently bitter and dismissive about the music industry, but seldom has she lashed out against another artist like she did in a recent LA Times interview.  Bob Dylan was her target this time, Mitchell calling him out, saying, 'Bob is not authentic at all.  He's a plagiarist, and his name and voice are fake.  Everything about Bob is a deception.'  She casts Jimi Hendrix in a kinder light, saying she, Hendrix, and Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell used to 'sit up all night listening to tapes of our shows', and calls Jimi 'the sweetest guy'.  Joni Mitchell suffers from a medical disorder called Morgellons, which she describes as '...a terrorist disease', likening it to living with the 'delusion of parasites', she says it causes 'fibers in a variety of colors to protrude out of my skin like mushrooms after a rainstorm'. Living with that could go a long way toward explaining why she's bitter.
