Soundgarden Ending 12 Year Hiatus

Chris Cornell has revealed via his Twitter account that Soundgarden will get back together in 2010.  News the Seattle rockers will reunite was also posted on the home page of a developing web site in the form of the notice 'The 12 Year Break is is Over and School is Back in Session'.  The band was in the forefront of groups expected to be their generation's biggest bands over the long-term when it fell apart in 1997 amid the usual in-fighting.  Cornell produced three solo albums after the split, as well as three as a member of Audioslave, the group that emerged from Rage Against the Machine after its lead singer, Zack de la Rocha, bailed out in 2000.
