Beatles items come to auction with some regularity and always command a good deal of interest, but the auction being conducted by Julien's December 4 & 5 in Beverly Hills, California make this sale quite exceptional.  The bulk of the items being offered are from the personal collection of Ringo Starr and include a 1963 Ludwig drum kit he played from May of 1963 through February 1964, a Rickenbacker guitar John Lennon gave to his drummer and more than 800 hundred other items.  The drum set alone is expected to bring in a top bid of up close to a half million dollars and the guitar could fetch between $600,000 and $800,000. All told, the take for all of the items could exceed $10 million.
