Roger Daltrey took a swipe at U2 for ignoring his invitation to play a charity concert at Royal Albert Hall the week of March 24. The Who front man says his personal invite to do a set to support the Teenage Cancer Trust usually gets accepted, but noted that U2 has, to this point, failed to respond. Daltrey said, 'I've had very few people say no to playing. I should save their names for my book, but they're usually the ones who are saving the world instead.'
Roger also said that he and Pete Townshend want to get back to work on an album of new material. Saying that Townshend has a slew of material for them to choose from, Daltrey reports, '...I'm always ready and raring to go', and adds, 'My voice is still in good shape. The hearing isn't so great, but the voice is fine.'
