Springsteen lights-up Jersey benefit (video)

Calling it a 'surprise appearance' is a bit of a stretch when he's been a regular at plenty of the previous events, but Bruce Springsteen missed last year's Light Of Day benefit, so there was heightened expectation in the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park Saturday night (1/18).  Bruce emerged during the Parkinson's Disease benefit to join Jesse Marlin on the Ramones Do You Remember Rock 'N Roll Radio and later accompanied Willie Nile on the song One Guitar. It was close to midnight when Springsteen returned to the stage with Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers for a full set that included Darkness On The Edge Of Town, Hearts Of Stone, Atlantic City, Because The Night, The Promised Land, Thunder Road and Frankie Fell In Love, a track from High Hopes, the album he released this past Tuesday. Things didn't wrap-up until nearly 1:30 on Sunday morning.  It was Springsteen's first appearance in his home state since December of 2012, when he played with the Rolling Stones at the Prudential Center in Newark.
