Reports are circulating that David Letterman is attempting to get Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to perform together on the set of his CBS show, which is housed in the Ed Sullivan Theater, site of the Beatles landmark television performance in February, 1964 during the group's first visit to the US.  Friday the 7th is being talked about as the most likely date, if Letterman and his crew manages to convince the pair.  That would put them back on television performing together on the 50th anniversary of the day the two landed at JFK with John Lennon and George Harrison.
