Former Asylum Records exec Jerry Sharell was in the company of a woman in his Woodland Hills, California home Sunday (9/15) when her ex-husband arrived on a motorcycle with flowers... and a machete.  A five hour hostage situation ensued, with the man inflicting multiple wounds on Sharell.  The victim, who worked closely with the Eagles, Queen, Linda Ronstadt and others in the 1970's, remains hospitalized. His condition has been upgraded from critical to stable. The alleged attacker, Beham Vasseghi, was taken into custody after slittting his wrists at the scene of the attack.
