The lineup of musicians on the upcoming Tribute to Eric Clapton album has some undoubtedly good musicians, but leaves us suspecting that the people behind it set out to enlist more universally known ones than they ended up with on it. The album covering songs from EC's time in the Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos and his solo career is due out Friday, June 17th and includes these songs and artists:
Cocaine - Brian Auger and Kirk Fletcher

Layla - Molly Hatchet
I Shot the Sheriff - Pat Travers, Artimus Powell and David Sancious
