Sound City Players Debut (VIDEO)

A most unlikely lineup of collaborators took to a stage at the Sundance Film Festival Saturday (1/19) to rip through a set in celebration of the film directing debut of drummer Dave Grohl.  The connecting thread for the wildly diverse bunch of players assembled by the Nirvana and Foo Fighters drummer is that all recorded at Sound City, the southern California studio commemorated in the Grohl documentary Sound City: Real To Reel (see trailer).
At various times the stage was occupied by Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Rami Jaffee from the Wallflowers, Rage Against The Machine's Brad Wilk, Jessy Greene of the Jayhawks, Rick Springfield, and Grohl's bandmates in the Foo Fighters, Chris Shiflett & Taylor Hawkins and Nirvana, Pat Smear & Krist Novoselic.
