Prospects that Scott Weiland will get welcomed back by Velvet Revolver got shredded by Slash, who called comments by the recently ousted Stone Temple Pilots member 'rantings' and says, 'None of us has a clue about what he's talking about... We're not buying it.'  In case that statement left any doubt, the guitarist added, 'Scott is completely speaking out of his ass', and '...he's on his own. And he deserves it too'.
