After a couple of overtly political albums resulting from his negative opinion of the Bush presidency, Mott the Hoople veteran Ian Hunter is back with an album of 'more upbeat' songs on a release he has titled When I'm President. The eleven track album due out September 4 features Hunter backed by his Rant Band and includes a song featuring his son, Jesse.
Speaking with Classic Rock Magazine, Hunter said the project developed out of a particularly prolific summer of songwriting last year during which he would '...get up every day with something ringing in my head'.  Give a listen to one result below.
