Leon Russell parts this plane

Another veteran and influential musician joins the many we have lost in 2016.  Leon Russell, the silver haired pianist that became the musical director in many respects of Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen tour and George Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh and has his songs covered by everyone from the Carpenters to the Allman Brothers was 74. He died in his sleep in Nashville in the early hours of Sunday (11/13), according to his wife.  Russell was inducted by both the Rock Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011. Russell's last CD, Life Journey, came out in the spring of 2014.  He appeard in film titled A Peom Is A Naked Person by Les Blank that was released in March of this year.
