A group of American Legion motorcyclists cruising near Allaire State Park in New Jersey on Friday (11/11) stopped to offer assistance to another biker whose bike had broken down only to discover it was Bruce Springsteen. After efforts to get the Bosses cycle going failed, Springsteen hopped on the back of Ryan Bailey's motorcycle to head to a bar while Bruce waited for someone to come pick him and his bike up. Dan Barkalow, another of the Legion riders, said the time spent with Bruce was low-key and enjoyable and called Bruce a 'Nice guy, real down to earth. Just talked about motorcycles and his old Freehold days. It was nice to help out.' Billy Joel later confessed to the broken down bike being one that he gave to Bruce.
