Jimmy Page Miffed Over Olympics Snub

Jimmy Page figured doing Whole Lotta Love atop a London double decker bus during the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics to promote the 2012 Summer Games in London would qualify him for a repeat performance on his home turf.  Apparently the London Olympics Committee did not share his opinion - something that has the former Led Zeppelin guitarist not feeling much love for the organization.  Asked about it by Mandrake, Page admits to '...feeling rather hurt' over the face he has not been asked to make a repeat appearance at the London festivities.  Organizers had reportedly hoped to convince the Rolling Stones to play and also sought to bring Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr together for an opening or closing performance. Having been turned down by both, they have settled for a Duran Duran appearance.
