Dead Game Comes To Life Online

The Grateful Dead Game: The Epic Tour is getting such an epic reception from online fans of the band that many would-be players are unable to get in, man.  Like the band's long, meandering jams, the game takes a free-form approach rather than the typical structured one.  There are no levels and no definitive end either.  A representative of  Curious Sense, the company that launched the game Friday (4/20), calls The Epic Tour '...a game where the object is to keep having fun rather than get to the end.'  The company drew on the San Francisco band's fan base to come up with concerts to feature in the game by asking them to vote on which shows to include.  Some 30,000 votes were cast, with the 10 that made it in ranging from 1971 through 1990.
