Cleveland Sends Message To Axl

The crowd at the Rock Hall Of Fame induction in Cleveland Saturday (4/14) was less forgiving than the high-brow audience the event attracts when it is held at New York's Waldorf Astoria, so it was no surprise that they let loose a barrage of boos directed at Guns N' Roses lead singer Axl Rose over his decision not to attend the event.  Former band mates that did attend let him off easy by not mentioning him by name during their on-stage comments.  Billie Joe Armstrong couldn't resist giving the audience a chance to vent by interjecting into his intro, 'Let's see, who am I missing'.  He then defended Rose by responding to the onslaught of boos by saying, 'This man's a bad-ass f#*kin' singer - one of the best front men to ever touch a mic.'  Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge filled in for Rose when the Guns members in attendance strapped on instruments later in the program.  Chris Rock took a shot at Rose while inducting the Red Hot Chili Peppers when he said, '...even if he had come tonight, he wouldn't be here by now!.
