Friday the 13th proved unlucky for fans hoping the long string of failed attempts to stage a Faces reunion would come to an end this weekend in Cleveland when the band gets inducted into the Rock Hall Of Fame.  Stewart called in sick from LA, apparently suffering from a case of strep throat.  Ron Wood, Ian McLagan and Kenny Jones broke the bad news while turning over an autographed copy of a new book about the band's six year run and lasting impact on Rock to the Rock Hall Of Fame's Library.   Wood told Billboard that Rod and the band were 'gutted' by the news, adding that his condition was bad enough that he'd been advised against making the trip even if he wasn't going to sing.  Simply Red vocalist Mike Hucknall, who has stood in for Stewart during a couple of recent Faces mini-tours, is expected to fill his shoes when the band performs in Cleveland Saturday.  Wood did get a kick out of Billboard's suggestion that they contact Axl Rose, quipping, 'He might do it for us. he definitely won't do it with GNR'.
