Alice Cooper got himself an Honorary Doctorate from the Musician's Institute Friday (3/16) and delivered a memorable commencement address that started with the disclaimer that '...the fact that I am here as your keynote speaker raises a lot of red flags', adding, 'It shows an obvious lack of judgment on your part.'  His advice to the 600 aspiring music pros included encouragement to '...don't be afraid to go out on that limb as far as you can', because, 'If you succeed you become a genius, if you fail you become an idiot. You can always start again.'
The godfather of Shock Rock will be doing a series of dates this summer in North America with Iron Maiden.
