Bruce To Open The Grammys

We take issue with a lot of the things the people who manage the Grammy awards do and don't do, so it's nice to hear something that doesn't make us roll our eyes, cover our ears, change the channel or just not bother watching to begin with.  Organizers have apparently decided to open the telecast of the 54th annual music awards show with the one guy a lot of Rock viewers will think is the only one worth tuning in for.  Access Hollywood is reporting that Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band will lead off the program on Sunday (2/12)Bruce, who has collected 20 Grammy awards during his 40 year recording career, is expected to play We take Care Of Our Own, the lead track from the Wrecking Ball album he will release in March.  The telecast will give fans their first look and listen to the E Street Band since Springsteen added Jake Clemons, a nephew of the late, great sax man Clarence Clemons, to the lineup of other backing musicians that will accompany him on the upcoming tour (story).
