His rendition of the National Anthem before the AFC Championship Game in Foxboro was a bit off, but backed by Joe Perry on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Steven Tyler was in much better form. The two Aerosmith members dug deep into the band's catalog to pull out Chip Away At The Stone (video), a track that was featured on the group's 1978 Live! Bootleg album. They were joined on the show and the song by Tyler's fellow American Idol judge Randy Jackson. Perry went back-to-back on the late night talk show, appearing the following Monday to play Man Of Peace, the Bob Dylan song he does on Chimes Of Freedom, an album commemorating the 50th anniversary of Amnesty international.
