The 13 month old son that Van Morrison allegedly fathered with a former business associate passed away after going into a diabetic coma according to reports by sources claiming to have obtained the information from a coroner's report.  The birth and life of the boy as well as the Irish singer's relationship with Gigi Lee, who died of throat cancer last October, was shrouded in mystery after Morrison vehemently denied being the father and claimed through a spokesman that he did not even know the woman.  An associate medical examiner's report reveals that the boy, who was found unresponsive at his suburban Dallas home on January 25, 2011, was suffering from extreme hyperglacaemia and weighed nearly 33 lbs at the time of his death.
His mother, who reportedly moved to Ireland after the baby's death, died last October while in the care of a hospice organization in Belfast.
