Tour Plans Trump Cooper Album

Tours used to almost always coincide with or closely follow the release of a new album. New album buzz helped drive ticket sales and exposure of new material during the tour helped drive album sales.  The nose-dive album sales has taken has even veteran acts re-thinking that sequence.  Bob Seger won't release the new album he has been working on until well into his tour. Now comes word that Alice Cooper has decided not to release the album he has already finished until after he completes a tour. Cooper made the decision to put his album on hold because it is a sequel to his album Welcome To My Nightmare, and he wants to develop a full tour around the songs on the 1975 and 2011 albums.  The new project includes contributions from original Alice Cooper band members Michael Bruce (guitar), Dennis Dunaway (bass) and Neal Smith (drums).  All will tour with Alice this summer and plane to be at the Rock Hall Of Fame induction for Cooper in New York this month.
