The verdict (story) in the trail over whether Led Zeppelin viiolated copyright law in Stairway To Heaven by using a chord progression in an instrumental by the band Spirit is apparently being challenged. The Courthouse News Service contends the plaintiff representing the original claim on behalf of the estate of the late Randy California of Spirit is filing an appeal of the decision that exonerated Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Requests for comments to both parties in the original trial by CNS have apparently not brought responses.
