Guitarist Neal Schon is gushing about Eclipse, the new album Journey will release May 24.  The guitarist calls it a Rock record '...built for the places we're about to play.'  We're not sure exactly what that means, but Schon says he hasn't liked a Journey record like this one for a long time.  The group's last release, Revelation, came and went without getting much attention in 2008.  As for the new project, Schon says the songs on it will measure up much better to the best songs from the band's catalog.  The chance to recapture the band's signature sound took a step forward with the 2007 discovery of Arnel Pineda, the lead singer that Schon discovered online.  Jonathan Caine says the front man has '...brought a lot of heart and soul' to the band.  Does the record Rock? Caine calls the sound 'Journey with big combat boots on.'
