Prospects for future co-headline appearances by Elton John and Billy Joel look less likely after Elton reportedly passed harsh judgment on the Piano Man during a recent interview with Rolling Stone.  The Feb. 17 issue of the mag evidently quotes John as saying Joel should do '...something better with his life', a reference that came in a context that left little doubt that he thinks Billy needs to get serious about living a more sober lifestyle.  Friction developed between the keyboard super stars over a misunderstanding about continuing the Face2face tour (story).
