In a recent Q&A with Billboard, Steven Tyler said that he is so accustomed to living his life under the microscope that negative speculation about him in the media, from other musicians and the public doesn't bother him in the least.  Having 'so many irons in the fire' invites second guessing, according to Tyler, that ''...people don't know what to think.  I don't need to be validated by someone's opinions.'  As for those wondering whether his stint with American Idol will lead to the lead singer exiting Aerosmith, Tyler says, 'This (Idol judging) will last for three years if I stay with it, or four months if I just do it this year. But I'm in Aerosmith Forever.'
