2011 has opened on a much more positive note between Pink Floyd and EMI after a year in which the band and label went at each other in court, with Floyd emerging victorious in both bouts (story). Ironically, the new 5 year distribution deal apparently allows the label to resume selling individual digital tracks. The sale of the songs apart from their respective album tracks had been a primary point of contention between EMI and the band in the original law suit.
