Train Wreck At Restore Sanity Rally

No one attended the Rally to Restore Sanity in DC Saturday (10/30) not expecting moments of total insanity - and Jon Stewart did not disappoint.  One of the best came when Yusuf Islam, who most thought dropped his sense of humor with the name Cat Stevens with his religious conversion years ago, was singing Peace Train when Ozzy Osbourne burst in with Crazy TrainStewart and Steven Colbert then staged a heated exchange over which train was the better one to be on - and Islam and Ozzy continued playing both (video).  That comic madness wasn't crazy enough, so the O'Jays emerged to add Love Train to the insane train mashup. Expectations that Bruce Springsteen would make an appearance at the event did not pan out.  Bruce was in London the night before making an unannounced appearance at a screening of The Promise (story). Kid Rock, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, The Roots, Tony Bennett and the Staples Singers did put in appearances.
