Stairway publishers want $800k from lawyer that sued

Warner/Chappell, the publishing firm that had to defend itself and Robert Plant and Jimmy Page over the claim that Led Zeppelin had lifted a key portion of the melody in Stairway To Heaven from a Spirit song, is seeking $800,000 from the lawyer that filed the copyright infringement claim to offset the $613,000 it says it cost them in legal fees, plus compenation for the disruption to its business the trial caused.  The firm says the money it recieves will be applied to to the purchase of musical equipment for children of families in need in Ventura County, California.
