Bob Mitzvah Site For Sale

For less than some collectors would pay for a Bob Dylan lyrics sheet or guitar, a fan can buy a live-in artifact.  The former Hibbing, Minnesota synagogue where Robert Zimmerman had his bar mitzvah is on the market.  Location #8 on the Bob Dylan walking tour was converted into an apartment building in 1980's after the congregation disbanded but still features the original stained-glass windows,  large, high ceiling meeting room and adjacent kitchens to keep meat and dairy products seperate in the kosher tradition it had when the Dylan ceremony took place in the Agundath Achim Synagogue when he was 13.  The downstate couple that bought the structure in 2001 planned to convert it into a bed & breakfast, but has not been able to make the move from the Minneapolis area.  At $119,000, the price seems like a bargain for a true one-of-a-kind collector's item.
