Who Cobble Together Leeds Bonus

Bass tracks from the Feb. 14 1970 concert the Who performed at Leeds are being transplanted to fill-in for ones missing from the show the group performed the night night before the Live At Leeds album recording date.  That concert set, which took place at Hull City Hall, will be included in an expanded reissue of Live At Leeds, an album widely heralded as one of the greatest live records of all time.  No one can account for why John Entwistle's performance on the 13th was missing on the four opening songs of the tape of the set.  Roger Daltrey recounts that, in his opinion, the Hull concert was even better than the one turned in the following night.  Fortunately, all four songs the bass track was missing from were also done the following night, allowing for the digital transplant.  The Nov. 14 Deluxe 40th Anniversary Live At Leeds disc will include the Hull set and a live performance of the Rock Opera Tommy.
