Aerosmith's Hamilton pans Ritchie Blackmore

Tom Hamilton has been spending time during the most recent Aerosmith hiatus playing with Thin Lizzy on a reunion tour that has the Irish Rockers opening some Rainbow dates.  He recently had an on-air conversation with Joey Kramer about those concerts and brought up something he thought was quite weird.  Talking with the drummer while Kramer ws guest hosting the morning show on WZLX, the Classic Rock station in Boston, Hamilton said that when Rainbow took the stage roadies strung the kind of tape used at crime scenes across the walkway to it to prevent other musicians or people on the tour from being able to watch Rainbow from the wings of the stage.  Kramer said the sight left him and others "...just kind of standing there staring at them, like 'oh my God, who's ever seen a band do that?' ".  He went on to add that Blackmore seemed uninspired on stage, saying, 'He was playing lead sort of just like off the record and not in a real passionate way. A little flat.'
