An outstanding Dire Straits concert filmed at the Hammersmith Odeon that has long been available in VHS is finally migrating to dvd and Blu-ray.  The 1983 performance captures the band in peak form in a set that featured extended versions of several songs, including Once Upon a Time in the West, Expresso Love, Romeo & Juliet, Sultans of Swing, Tunnel of Love and Solid Rock.  The 10 tracks have been restored and remixed in 5:1 surround sound, and the original video footage has been upgraded to HD.  In addition to the Hammersmith set, the dics include an hour long BBC Arena documentary from 1980 and and televised performances of Sultans of Swing and Tunnel of Love.  Preview it here.
