Noteworthy Now

An unexpected delay in the release date for Mojo, the new studio album from Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, has resulted in the band's tour getting pushed back a month and 3,000 miles. Instead of a May 6 opening night in Raleigh, NC, the band will start out in early June in northern California. The original opening 10 dates on the tour will be rescheduled for September and October.  The waiting is more than the hardest part for a few fans who posted angry messages to a fan forum on the Petty web site.  Some who planned to attend the  original opening dates on the tour are riled up that what they consider Petty's petty basis for the delay stands to leave them on the hook for non-refundable travel expenses.
