Joe Perry spent some down time during the Joe Perry Project UK tour fulfilling a dream. The guitarist spent an afternoon in Portsmouth soaking up military history. The Aerosmith veteran, a life long military history buff who uses Admiral Perry as his Twitter ID, started his big day out at the D-Day Museum before heading to the docks to spend time on and below decks of the HMS Victory, flagship of British Naval legend Admiral Nelson. Perry posted, 'I felt transported back in time while I was visiting his ship. I have wanted to do this for years.' Dockyard officials were equally impressed with having Perry on board, calling his visit, 'one of our best celebrity spots on site.'
