A Billy Joel+Elton John date at Fenway Park fell through after Joel decided not to continue the Face 2 Face tour (story).  Red Sox officials have called on two hometown Rock MVPs to share the stage below the Green Monster instead this summer.  Peter Wolf and Steven Tyler made it official Wednesday night (4/7) during the Yankees-Red Sox game,  announcing that Aerosmith and the J. Geils Band will appear in concert for the first time together on August 14 at Fenway.  Tickets for the Rock double header in Boston go on sale April 17.  The historic ballpark has played host to concerts by the Police, the Rolling Stones, Jimmy Buffett and Paul McCartney.
