Just days after learning that three Jimmy Vaughan songs will be covered by Steve Miller on his first studio album in 17 years (story) comes word that the Fabulous Thunderbirds veteran will also be out with a similar project - his first album in nearly a decade.  Blues, Ballads & Favorites pays tribute to several R&B and Blues players the Texas guitar great admires, with Jimmy Reed, LaVern Baker, Little Richard, Lloyd Price among them.  One original, the instrumental Comin' & Goin', is on the 13 song collection that closes out with a version of Funny How Time Slips Away, the Willie Nelson classic.  Vaughan and his band open a tour Thursday (4/8) in Satellite Beach, Florida.
