A pending divorce trial involving a New Jersey couple over allegations the wife had an affair with Bruce Springsteen has been averted with an agreement to settle matters using arbitrator to set alimony and child support terms. Whether the claim had any merit or not, the announcement that Arthur and Ann Kelly had elected not to go to trial had to come as a relief to Springsteen, who the husband alleged became a romantically involved with his wife after the two met at a Red Bank fitness club. Springsteen has steadfastly refused to address the claim since issuing a to-the-point denial several months ago.
