The Allman Brothers Band annual residency in New York drew to a close Saturday night (3/20).  The series was forced to find a new home after the Beacon Theater opted to lock-in a Cirque du Soleil series during the same time frame the Allmans had booked the venue for an extended run of shows for several years running. (story)  The band also reduced the number of shows this year, attributing the cut to an 'unforeseen familY matter.'  Unlike last year when the band was joined by Eric Clapton and several other luminaries, special guests this year included mostly musicians affiliated with the band.
