Floyd In Legal Tangle With Label

A royalties dispute will put EMI up against one of the label's most dependable sources of income.  Pink Floyd is taking the entertainment giant to court over the way the company calculates what the band is paid for online sale of its substantial catalog.  One issue is the sale of individual songs from albums, something a representative of the group claims is 'expressly prohibited'.  EMI contends that restriction is not applicable to online sales.  Only the Beatles catalog moves more product than Pink Floyd for the label.
