Already under pressure from a Facebook campaign his son started to get him to stop smoking (story), John Mellencamp now faces one seeking to get him to run for the US Senate seat being vacated by long term Indiana Democratic Senator Evan Bayh.  The Draft John Mellencamp for Senate site is just the start of a campaign to get the politically active Rocker to consider a run.  If  elected, Mellencamp would join another politician who keeps a guitar in his Washington office - John Hall, the former lead singer of Orleans, who represents the 19th District of New York in Congress.
