Fabled Rock Real Estate For Sale

The cash crunch EMI finds itself in has the entertainment giant exploring a number of options to improve its outlook.  According to the Financial Times, one of those is selling Abbey Road Studios, the famous north London studio the Beatles, Pink Floyd and dozens of other bands recorded some of their finest albums in.  The cover photo of the 1969 Beatles album titled with the studio's name was taken at a crosswalk just steps from the door of the 1831 Georgian style building that housed the studio.  Abbey Road was where most of the group's albums were recorded. It also hosted recording sessions for Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.  The building, which opened as a studio in 1931, could bring as much as $15 million.
