The threat of the second major snow storm in less than a week caused an event scheduled for Wednesday (2/10) to take place Tuesday instead. The East Room of the White House was the setting for a musical celebration of songs that provided the soundtrack to the Civil Rights movement of the early 1960's. Bob Dylan performed The Times They Are A-Changin', his song that implored '...senators, congressmen, please heed the call. Don't stand in the doorway, don't block up the hall' before stepping off stage to shake the hand of America's first black president. Mellencamp chose Eyes On The Prize. PBS television carries the event Thursday night (2/11).
