Billboard is reporting that a California lawyer representing Steven Tyler notified Aerosmith's manager last week that if other band members continue to seek to replace his client it could result in Tyler authorizing legal action against them.  The document, which the trade publication's web site says was sent on Jan. 27, has brought no public reaction from other band members yet.  It reportedly was prompted by a comment attributed to Joe Perry saying the band would be 'better off without' Tyler, a statement the lawyer, Skip Miller, apparently feels provides ample basis for considering legal action.  He stressed that he and his client prefer 'Aerosmith, with Steven Tyler, touring in Europe, touring Latin America, releasing a new album', according to Billboard.
