During a radio interview in New Zealand, Brian Johnson of AC/DC said the band would like to come up with a way to honor Bon Scott around the time of the anniversary of his death that is respectful and avoids coming off as a 'sensation seeking thing'. Johnson says his predecessor, who died Feb. 19 1980 after a night of heavy drinking, is '...still a part of the band, he's still a part of us.' He indicated that the band hopes to meet with Scott's mother and brother when the AC/DC tour plays Perth in western Australia.
